From providing job opportunities to financial support, Kabraso helps ease economic hardship for every individual in the cooperative, ensuring that they and their families feel secure amid life’s uncertainties. This includes untimely losses that unfortunately happened in an incident not long ago.
A tragic vehicle accident caused the sudden passing of a Kabraso member in 2025. In an instant, people have lost a beloved father, a son, a friend and a colleague.
During this very difficult time, Kabraso fulfills its core purpose of supporting its members even beyond the workplace, delivering responsible stewardship and social protection through one of its employee benefits, the Accidental Insurance Program.
This grants financial assistance to eligible beneficiaries, guaranteeing that the bereaved family receives timely support when they need it most.
The father of the late Kabraso member is now in the process of claiming the insurance, with the cooperative helping him every step of the way. This is to ensure that the beneficiaries will not have to jump through hoops to receive what is rightfully theirs.
This isn’t the first time Kabraso has offered this benefit. In 2022, another Kabraso member had his life sadly cut short due to the same accident. And a year later, his mother was able to claim the insurance seamlessly with the assistance of the cooperative’s staff.
Kabraso hopes to lessen the burden on the families of its late members by providing them with financial protection, something promised to their workers once they become members of the cooperative, as they navigate through life without their dearly departed.
